The Gorge Games is proud to partner with the Hood River County School District Community Education Program to offer official Gorge Games classes for children in virtually all Gorge Games sports plus a few additional sports: including BMX skills building, catamaran skills building, kayaking, kiteboarding, mountain biking, sailing, skateboarding and windsurfing. The Gorge Games Children’s Classes is a superb way for children to learn more and experience each Gorge Games sports. At the end of each class (Saturday and Sunday) competitive events will be offered for students interested in participating in appropriate competitive events. The Gorge Games wants to “grow” the next generation of athletes and our classes are designed to foster skills building and healthy, positive competition.

The Kids Adventure Village Experience is open to children of all ages and includes cross training in the following sports/activities:

• Bike Skills
• Kayak White Water Rafting Pool
• Trail Running
• Naturalist Walk
• Camp Orienteering Challenge - Adventure Race Component
• Health Safety Training
• Rock Climbing Experience
• Windsurfing

Parents can drop children off all day to participate in the Kids Adventure Experience which is staffed by certified trainers in each sport/activity and includes Community Education staff counselors for general supervision and safety for each participant. Many classes are free or offered at affordable rates for children to attend.
